REVEALING GOD - THE PRICE FOR THE CURSE - 1

Introduction

Bless God for another wonderful day. Today, I want to talk about God’s great deliverance for mankind through His sacrifice. The Passover was introduced to the nation of Israel when God delivered them from Egypt by the sacrifice of lambs, which gave protection against the angel of death through the blood.

Before this, the Israelites had been under bondage, and no miracle could set them free until a blood covenant was made. Initially because the covenant sacrifice was done with animals, it was temporary, and thus it was required that it should be repeated over and over again. But immediately Jesus gave Himself as a sacrifice for mankind, that put an end to continuous sacrifice for deliverance and atonement for sin because Jesus’ sacrifice was both eternal and perfect.

Deliverance became necessary for mankind right from the day that Adam sinned against God, because immediately the devil by wiles caused Adam to disobey God. Adam lost not only his spirituality, but also the blessing. Rather he inherited curses. These curses he inherited have caused so much hardship to mankind through diverse sufferings i.e. poverty, sickness, bad relationships, etc. But the good news is that Jesus Christ resolved all mankind’s problems by the cross. One of the problems He resolved was the issue of the blessing and the curse.

Most people only see the cross as a bridge for salvation, but not a bridge to cross over from the curse to the blessing. Thus many Christians ignorantly live under the curse. Why should Christians still be suffering for what Christ has paid for? The scripture says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” (Galatians 3:13-14).

At this point, let me define a curse, because you might be living under a curse as a Christian and not even know it. A curse is anything that attracts evil or devotes evil to a person because of an evil wish spoken by another person or a covenant that was entered into with the devil, either by oneself or by another person on one’s behalf. In other words, we must see a curse as a spiritual mark or covenant of the devil, which creates a gateway for him and his demons to enter into a person’s life as they desire, in order to kill, steal or destroy.

On the other hand, the blessing is also a spiritual mark or covenant, but this time it causes the presence of God and His angels to be present in a person’s life to empower them to be successful in their divine task. This is what people sometimes mistake for good-luck, while the curse they mistake for bad-luck.

The blessing is a very important aspect of mankind, which is why when God created man, God had to first bless him because the blessing empowers a person to be divinely successful in life. This simply means that without Christians operating in the realms of the blessing, they cannot be as successful as God would want them.

Now that I have been able to establish from the Word of God what the blessing and curse are about, and the fact that Jesus has paid the price for our redemption from the curse in order for us to live in the blessing, we just have believe in His finished Work and having mentality filled with the consciousness of the reality of the blessing.

Tomorrow, we will discuss on to fully activate the blessing. God bless.
