YOUR WORD, YOUR WORLD

If you were to build a house, the first thing you will be thinking of getting after having a piece of land will be the materials you will need to build it — materials like cement, iron or wood. In the same way, anything you will like to make on earth will require an earthly element. However, in the world of the Spirit, the Word of God mixed with faith is the substance is what is used to create, not just spiritual things, but also physical things. That is why the scripture says, “faith is the substance of things” (Hebrews 11:1).

This puts the Word of God as a far more superior substance for making whatever we desire in life than any other thing that exists. In fact, every other thing that exists was created by the Word of God. The scripture says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” (Hebrews 11:3).

Nevertheless, many Christians don’t see the Word of God like that, which limits them, because the materials in this world are of limited resources. God made the materials in this world for mankind to easily make other things without the use of faith, but God did not intend that that should be the primary way for them to create things. The scriptures reveal to us that God created the whole universe by His Word. God said, “Let there be light,” and “Let there be” this and that, and they all came to pass as He said (Genesis 1). And when He created man, He created him in His image and likeness, so that he could also use his words to make his own world (Genesis 1:26).

The raw material He gave him was His Word. If we merely look on the Word of God, it will seem useless to anyone. For example crude oil in its raw form is useless to mankind until it is refined into different usable forms like petrol and kerosene. Likewise the Word of God is the raw material which when mixed with faith will give us the desired result. So we can say the Word of God is the spiritual raw material to create anything we desire.

If the Word of God is the raw material used to make the universe, then we can choose to build our own personal world with it. Let us thus see the Word of God as the raw material that we need to create the material we will need to build a house; as the medicine for the cure of any sickness; food for life. So whatever it might be that we want or desire, we already have the raw material you need to create it.

Nevertheless the question that might be in the mind of anyone at this point is, how do I get the Word of God to work? I don’t think it is okay to tell you something and not give you the manual that details how to do it. The answer to anyone asking how to put the Word of God to work is simple, we just need to speak the Word, because when we look at the creation of the universe, God spoke it into existence.

Apparently, mankind, after he fell to sin, became used to doing things physically. Which is why Jesus was surprised by the request of a Centurion who needed healing for His servant, but asked Jesus to only speak a Word. Every other person who asked Jesus for help wanted Him to physically come there and lay His hands on the sick, but this man understood the power of the spoken Word. Jesus called the action of the Centurion “Great Faith”. Likewise, we need to apply absolute faith in our spoken Word in order for us to get results. This is the only way the principle of the spoken Word can work for anyone.

Now, what can make our words effective and potent is the fact that we base them upon the Word of God. The Word of God is a universal written authority of its own that brings every element in the universe to order for it to come to pass. Therefore, when we want to build a world with our words, we need to use the Word of God as the foundation. For example, if you are trying to get healing, you can use the Word of God that says, “by the stripes of Jesus, you are healed” (1 Peter 2:24). If you want to deal with a curse, you can use the Word of God that says, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law” (Galatians 3:13). If you want to deal with finances, you can use the Word that says, “the blessing of Abraham has come upon you through Jesus Christ” (Galatians 3:14). Whatever it is you desire in God’s Will, just stand on the Word of God and keep saying it while keeping yourself in the Will of God, and before you know it there will be a physical manifestation.

However, we must understand that there is a transition process required for the Word of God to be converted from its spiritual raw form to any material thing. It is our unceasing maintenance of our confession — even in the midst of discouraging odds — that will guarantee us a result. It is also our confession afterwards that will maintain the result after we physically have it. That is why we see the word “framed,” which in Greek rendering also means “repair,” was used in the scripture (Hebrews 11:3) to tell of God’s work on the earth because the world was in chaos and darkness (Genesis 1:2) after its first creation. It is normal to maintain a thing with the same material it was made of, the Word of God is what can maintain what it gives.

That is all I have to discuss with you today! So I believe we now know that you can make your own world with your words, despite the challenges that are confronting you or the environment around you. But also remember it is important to be born again to enjoy the privilege of using God’s Word to make your own world in this life, as the scripture says only “as many as received him

Jesus as their Saviour

, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). Have a blessed day!

Today’s Reading:

Hebrews 11, Genesis 1

Nevertheless, if you are not born again, you can do so today by saying this simple prayer below out with your mouth in faith, believing that Jesus Christ died and rose again for your sins.

Prayer for Salvation

Dear Lord, I believe Jesus died and rose again for me. Forgive me my sins and come into my life. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you, Father for doing this for me. Reveal yourself to me today. In Jesus name, Amen.

Congrats, your status has changed to that of a child of God, if you said this prayer in faith.
