4 Levels of Levels Word – 4
Exercising God’s Word by Use
Praise God for another day to share a thought with you today. From 1 John 1:1, we enumerated the 4 levels of engagement with the Word of God. These we said are:
1. Hearing God’s Word (Which we have heard)
2. Seeing God’s Word Work (Which we have seen with our eyes)
3. Observing the Dynamics of God’s Word (Which we have looked upon)
4. Exercising God’s Word by Use (Which our hands have handled)
We will now talk about “Exercising God’s Word by Use”.
There is a way to live in this world without the Word, which ultimately ends in misery and death. But there is also a way to live by the Word to gain victory over every circumstance of life and ultimately entering eternal life. The fourth and final level of engagement with the Word of God takes a Christian from being a hearer to a doer, and from a spectator to a participant.
Applying God’s Word to every aspect of our life is the highest standard of Christian living, and every believer must strive to attain it. As is common with anything practiced repeatedly in life, we naturally grow in proficiency until it becomes second nature—allowing us to produce the same actions without much hesitation, whether awake or asleep. The Scripture says:
“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (Hebrews 5:14).
In conclusion, we see the four levels of the Word that every Christian should seek to experience in their fellowship with God. To achieve this, a believer must give attention to the Word by spending time hearing, reading, and meditating on it until they become doers of the Word.
You must know that the first three levels of the Word only cause internal changes within a person, but it is the fourth level that births the outward manifestation of miracles and blessings. The Scripture declares:
“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” (James 1:25).
I pray you end up being a doer of the Word and not just a hearer. Have a blessed day!

Nevertheless, if you are not born again, you can accept Christ today by saying this simple prayer out loud in faith, believing that Jesus Christ died and rose again for your sins:
Prayer for Salvation
“Dear Lord, I believe Jesus died and rose again for me. Forgive me my sins and come into my life. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You, Father, for doing this for me. Reveal Yourself to me today. In Jesus' name, Amen.”
Congratulations! Your status has changed to that of a child of God if you said this prayer in faith.
